A movie that can't be absorbed in one viewing. There are plenty of misfires in this, but Mitchell really goes for it in a way that you see less and less. The classic Hollywood nods and the lush score create such a distinct atmosphere that feels both out of place and completely appropriate. And that's pretty much how I felt about every turn this movie takes. This one will surely gain recognition over time.

Pretty sure when they wrote this script they said, "hey let's just have Cap use Thor's hammer and it literally won't matter how clunky the rest of the movie is."
Apparently, they weren't wrong.
Also, why was that score so DEMANDING? I felt like the string section was constantly yelling at me to FEEL SOMETHING.
