With great ability comes great accountability.
Not just one of the best animated movies, but also one of the best superhero films. Not just recently, ever. Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse is a film that seems to just about succeed in everything it tries. Its animation is not only incredibly unique, but also each and every frame is gorgeous. Its characters feel relatable, each of them facing problems we can either relate to, or at the very least clearly understand. I don't think there's a person in this that's casted poorly. Just about everyone does an A+ job at playing their characters, bringing so much life and energy in their performances. The action is fast paced, with no scene feeling like just a reason for these people to fight. It's also one of the films with a soundtrack that isn't just spectacular, but extremely fitting. There's countless moments where the emotions are amplified with these great songs.
It's one of the films were there's at least one thing to like. Whether it's the animation, the characters or their designs, or even the amazing references, there's bound to be something in here that appeals to whoever watches it, and a film has to be really fucking good to pull that off.
