Film #4 off my Scavenger Hunt 70.
Task 16/31: Watch a film that was delayed more than two times.
Conceptually intriguing sci-fi mechanics combined with great spectacle and solid performances. I liked this, but it's unnecessarily difficult to follow. Even if Tenet is entirely internally consistent with itself (which I'm not sure it is, though I'd guess it's close)... Nolan doesn't do enough to thread the audience along without getting lost and confused on the way. Contrast this with Inception, which is just as mind-bending and complex, but presents itself in a way that leads the viewer to clearly discover and unfold the narrative in an immensely satisfying way.
