Filmmaker in Nashville
This is garbage. Some of the laziest, most predictable filmmaking I have ever seen.
did you think the little sister had problems?
Have you ever seen a teenage girl gleefully chop a huge pile of walnuts?
Hmm, what smells in the house?
Do you think the answers are in a pile of cardboard boxes marked Mom's Stuff?
Probably, but you won't find out for 2+hours!
This movie asks the audience to be so dumb, to be so caught…
I expected this movie to have something new or profound to say. It doesn't. I wish I hadn't seen the rapturous reviews before I had the chance to see it. Because this is an enjoyable piece but it isn't groundbreaking.
While Gosling and Stone shine on screen, the music and plot are too thin.
