Alma is one of the most incredible characters I have ever seen put to film. She touches me in a way very few have and means so much to me. Everything she embodies, everything she carries with her, everything she represents. Her compassion and her ambition and her frustration and her stamina and her patience and her fiery temper. Where she comes from and where she will go. I love her dearly and I love PTA for writing her into creation, for immortalising her in his work.
