Astounded by how much I liked this. Honestly, it's about as good as the original. So emotionally-charged. Moretz was incredible. I kept wanting Moore to let loose a little more, but I liked what she did nonetheless. It's very effectively directed; Peirce--who's 3-for-3 with me now--creates this great queasy horror atmosphere that really works, and I absolutely loved the staging and visuals of the climactic prom sequence. She had to have taken inspiration from Inglourious Basterds. Edge-of-your-seat stuff. Could've done without the silliness of the last 20 seconds, but overall, this is a very, very good movie.
