Harmony Korine directing an exploitation/direct to video style action flick? I'd like to see that.
That was my mindset heading into this flick, and that's pretty much exactly what I got.
After a meandering start, the flick picks up the pace when hammy James Franco comes on the scene and the film turns into a weird type hybrid of a coming of age flick, Natural Born Killers, Badlands and a Terence Malick flick (except instead of gorgeous shots of nature, you've got many, repeated shots of boobies - but shot in the same loving way that Malick shoots nature).
Not sure if 'enjoyed' would be the right word for it, but it's definitely a one-of-a-kind experience.
