Oh, hey, you caught me contemplating about shit I’d rather be watching than Don’t Worry Darling. I mean, it’s not all trouble in paradise, there’s a cool premise, a game Florence Pugh and an excellent (if underused and underwritten) Chris Pine. But ultimately, this is a half baked venture with little to take from except wasted talent, especially Matthew Libatique, whom is one of the industries under-sung cinematographers. Whatever, Lilly Wilde has her sophomore slump, big whoop. Better luck next time, lady bird 🐣
While it’s not the worst example I have ever seen, I did find the Magical Negro Trope in the last episode the only eye-rolling moment throughout this 7-hour endeavor. Otherwise, the series is excellent across the board, one of the best that Netflix has put out.
