Mickey Rourke's best role and one of the most beautiful films ever shot. Beyond that, it's pretty elusive. I know that I liked it, but I don't feel like I have much of an understanding for this seemingly straightforward tale.
The character's emotions are what pass for events here, not a bad thing necessarily, but it sure makes for a slow, wandering narrative.
The rumble fish were cool.
