Ongoing project made up of the films I haven't seen or want to re-watch, from four polls of the best British films: the BFI 100, Time Out, Empire (UK film magazine) and Barry Norman (essentially the British Roger Ebert).
The unseen (or partly seen) films were added to this list in rank order from each of those in turn, and the notes say which picture is in which polls as a lot of them overlap.
Letterboxd has given me a bit of a bee in my bonnet about watching multiple films from one director in chronological order. So other films by some of the directors, which I'd been planning to watch anyway, will be fitted in before, between or after…

Letterboxd has given me a bit of a bee in my bonnet about watching multiple films from one director in chronological order. So other films by some of the directors, which I'd been planning to watch anyway, will be fitted in before, between or after the films from this list in order of release.
(More directors I plan to watch in blocks: Terence Davies, Ken Loach, Derek Jarman, John Schlesinger, Bill Douglas, Nicolas Roeg. Possibly Neil Jordan, Ken Russell, Steve McQueen)
I also have an overlapping project to watch or re-watch, and rank, all the Ealing comedies.
Films 22-53 (My Childhood to In This World) are on the Time Out list but not in the BFI 100
Films 54 onward (Moon to Oh What a Lovely War!) are on the Empire list but not Time out or the BFI 100
I will try to update numbers and titles above when films are seen and removed from the list.
There are a small number of the films I expect never to see because of shakycam/motion sickness, and also I don't really want to watch a few of the very recent films from the Empire list - esp Monsters, The Descent and the final Harry Potter.
