Fan of films and video games.
I'm not a professional critic, I just like putting down a few words about films I've seen :)
Daniel Day-Lewis knocks it out of the park as Christy Brown but I wish the film itself had more of an impact on me. It wasn't bad by any means but compared to its subject it came across as rather plain.
The emotional side of Kramer vs. Kramer ended up being surprisingly powerful, and helped ensure the somewhat simple narrative delivered a really strong punch. Dustin Hoffman, Meryl Streep and Justin Henry were all stellar, and each of their characters were handled with a nice degree of care. Although it does tell a fairly one-sided story, it never came across as prejudiced, mean, or unjust; so bonus points for that as well.
I'm clearly not Spirit Untamed's target demographic, but to be fair I didn't watch this for an inspirational story about horses and friendship. Personally, I watched it solely for Mr. Gyllenhaal.
