Pride Month, 2021🏳️🌈
I feel like Old Man River. I'm tired of living and I'm scared of dying.
if it wasn't for the extremely racist jokes here and there, The Boys in The Band would've been my favourite queer film. Even so, it still is truly a milestone for queer cinema.
The characters are all complex and haven't been stripped of individuality in favour of cheap stereotypes that were popular in those times. The cast is quite perfect, all actors from the original off-Broadway stage production, and the directing of course, all absolute perfection.
