unbelievable how they made a movie about imperialism is bad, that believing the military state’s propaganda leads to genocide and the displacement of refugees, and making the central character’s arc about rejecting the intrinsic faith of the state and fighting for what’s right, in a movie that is literally a recruitment ad for the United States Air Force. the irony is almost hilarious if it wasn’t so deeply fucking fascist.
