Brett Schutt’s review published on Letterboxd:
Review Summary- The Devil All the Time is an uncompromising horror film, showing the corruption of man can be the scariest creatures of all. It’s carried by a terrific cast including Tom Holland, who gives the best performance of his whole career. The film feels pretty aimless but is told through a compelling narration that strings together unlikely plots and threads them nicely. The film’s midwestern gothic tone is beautiful and its themes about the corruption of organized religion under corrupt men is chilling. It’s gonna be a divisive horror film a lot will not warm up to because of its slow burn and unconventional storytelling but is a film that will develop its cult following as the years go on.
