I already knew that I would love this movie and yet I am happily shocked because I loved more than I expected. the film conveys calm, delicacy, love, in such a beautiful way, it warmed my heart.
the construction of the characters is wonderful, the script is wonderful. the impeccable acting, I could feel what they were feeling, I felt sincerity in this movie. I'm in a relationship with a girl now and somehow I felt my girlfriend and I portrayed in some scenes, and that's so important to me. I value representation in cinema, and the dialogues and even facial expressions, small details, have managed to make me feel there, as an LGBT person. movies like this, I not only want, but I need, sincere and well made films about lesbian love.
the photography is so beautiful, it is a big part of the film, it created the atmosphere, the whole art direction captivated me. rooney mara, cate blanchett, sarah paulson formed a perfect cast; and of course, todd haynes, what a wonderful job.
this movie is marvelous and certainly one of my favorites, and I’m glad it exists. I don’t have anything more to say, just, my godness, this movie is precious.
