Halloween Season Challenge - Film #62
watched the original version. great set design and so many memorable moments in its specifics: the phantom's hand reaching out and touching Christine's shoulder, the two lead men walking down the hallway and falling through the floor with the oddly jarring cut to the torture chamber below, the falling chandelier et al. worth mentioning also that the interchange of title card-shot in terms of its function in narrative contextualization and procession felt pretty clean to an extent i'm not sure i've gotten out of other silent movies, speaking as someone who doesn't internalize movies *as a series of events* very well and thus has difficulty recounting plot lines.
