Ethan Woods’s review published on Letterboxd:
I think this is one of those movies I can never have enough of. I’ve had such a childish amount of fun watching Eddie Murphy’s performance these first two go rounds. And honestly I’m already thinking about when I’m gonna watch it again. This is obviously hilarious (“we’re dealin with society we’re keepin it real!”) but coupled with that, what makes it such a joy to watch is how heartfelt and earnest it is (how could you not love Eddie Murphy yelling at Wesley Snipes about working together to make a movie)
I fucking love this
“Hey, man, how’d my life get so damn small?
I came out here with some big plans, Jimmy.
I was gonna do it all, just like Sammy Davis Jr.”
