Watched in the middle of the afternoon on a Tuesday, but the theatre had a fair amount of people. After watching Aster's first movie I knew to expect more of a tense drama with some horror elements, and I was NOT disappointed.
Less supernatural elements than Hereditary, but somehow felt more horrific to me. Maybe because it was more grounded in reality?
Both disturbing and beautiful to look at. So much body horror which I LOVE, and not just for the death scenes- Dani tripping and seeing grass growing through her hands rlly freaked me out fsr. Some parts were very emotionally harrowing (although not to the extent of hereditary), but by the end I was smiling.
