    Chungking Express


    I have pretty much the same reaction to Chungking Express as I did with Fallen Angels. Gorgeous cinematography, but my interest between the anthology stories differed significantly. I enjoyed the first story quite a bit, but the second bordered on insufferable. The manic pixie dream girl played by Faye Wong is beyond irritating, it was just a lot less interesting than the first noirish story. Bring back the pineapples, I say.
