Austin Gorski’s review published on Letterboxd:
Equally entertaining as it is genuine. Eddie Murphy is dynamite in a welcome return to the limelight, but it’s the film’s core that stood out for me. Nothing’s more inspiring than watching a handful of oddball friends getting together to make a film *way* out of their comfort zone only to watch them come out of it happy because, ultimately, it’s a film they wanted to see.
Sometimes, the film feels like it’s as much a tribute to moviemaking and Eddie Murphy as it is to Dolemite himself, Rudy Ray Moore - but that’s a conversation for another day.
