Austin Gorski’s review published on Letterboxd:
Shame this will probably be the exception, not the rule, when it comes to the never-ending cinematic universe. Eternals does feel different from the some of more recent MCU films/shows, but some of their trademark crutches are still there (and some of the film’s own distinct choices can be questionable at times). I’ll say this - I liked the grandiose feel and focus on these God-like people questioning their faith.
I did and didn’t feel it’s length, but one could definitely argue that there’s stuff they could’ve cut to smooth out the edit. Main issue here is that the characters the film decides to focus on are the least interesting one in the ensemble. I liked parts of the movie, sure, but that’s the kind of issue you don’t want to find yourself with.
