Austin Bristyan’s review published on Letterboxd:
I only cried 5 times.
Near the end of the movie I asked myself “How do they keep doing this?” An animated film about toys can grab hold of you emotionally for 25 years.
Toy Story 4 is an unnecessary installment with how Toy Story 3 ended but again provides comfortable closure.
It’s hard for me to put into words what I liked about this film but being a father of 2 young daughters, the metaphor of a toy being there for their child really hit home for me.
