Well, I’m fairly confident that I liked it even more the second time. It’s a film that needs multiple watches to be able to soak everything in. I knew this after my first watch but I never got back around to it. Finally, my time had come and I am so glad that I was able to get a revisit in. The level of detail and intricacy is mind-blowing; especially from a first time director. The cinematography is a standout and the score is beyond haunting. The foreshadowing of certain events (one in particular) is something that I believe requires a rewatch. If you didn’t love this the first time around, I encourage you to give it another shot. It is now firmly in my 2018 top ten and I could move it up even higher as time passes.
