This was one of the first SW movies I watched. I’m personally a prequels >> sequels person.
This movie is nothing but fantastic. It gets hate for no reason, in my opinion it’s one of the best star wars films. Obi-Wan vs Anakin will forever be iconic. Ewan McGregor owned the prequels for me. He portrayed Obi-Wan perfectly. Revenge of the sith always hits different whenever I watch it. What if events turned out differently? The whole point this movie was to care about Anakin even though we knew what his fate was in the end. From that viewpoint I think they executed it great. This is why I love this movie, Anakin wanted power so that it would help him and Padmé and the people he cares about. BUT he was manipulated by Palpatine... someone who just wanted power for the sake of it. That eventually caused Anakin to lose his love and drove him towards the dark side. Without Padmé the darkness consumes him and there’s no point in him clinging onto the light.
“I HATE YOU!”
“You were my brother, Anakin! I loved you.”
Catch me crying. It hurts every single time. :(
