Andyroo’s review published on Letterboxd:
A slow burn, emotionally driven story is a good direction for Marvel, but it didn’t quite work for me. I felt like none of the characters were interesting or developed. Even the ones with good story arcs were pretty uninteresting to me. Not even Barry Koeghan, an actor I love, seemed to catch my interest.
My real beef with the movie is how it downplays and takes credit for all of humanity’s greatest achievements, shortcomings, and even famous folktales. All of the sudden these new characters are responsible for nearly every technological advancement, and humans are suddenly incapable of evolving and creating?! That really seemed to rub me the wrong way.
