I'm kind of split on this.
A decent (but predictable) neo-noir, in spite of not because of its leads. For a movie sold on its sensuality, it's not very skilled at titillation. The Florida setting works well for a noir but there's a silly amount of smoke. Inside, outside smoke machines abound.
Kathleen Turner doesn't have much to do, except be naked, and William Hurt sells being hapless well but spends a lot of time with his "what's going on"…
