Will’s review published on Letterboxd:
I expect this will always be my favourite Coen brothers movie. It's a bit of an outlier too - the sardonic wit remains, but they've never made another movie as compassionate as this one. Llewyn Davis is a deeply affecting character, both as an emblem for the struggling, broken-dreamed beat generation of the early sixties and as a human being in his own right. The forlorn image of Llewyn, guitar case in hand, thumbing for a ride on the snowy roadside couldn't be told better in a thousand words.
