A melancholy and draining adventure, A Ghost Story deals with love and pain and death in such a mesmerizing way. At all times a sense of constant loss and bitter confusion is present, which is enforced by the 4:3 aspect ratio.
The concept of time is given a whole new meaning here, the deafening silence hovers as year after year pass by. Time seems so flexible yet so magnificently important. It’s been a while since a movie affected me in such a way I can’t quite comprehend it yet I need some time to think and analyze.
