Spencer 2021
“Great gowns. Beautiful gowns.”
Narratively pretty inert but Kristen Stewart carries the day with her beautifully internalized performance. Bonus points for Greenwood’s score, Mathon’s camerawork, and the sublime use of Mike + The Mechanics’ “All I Need is a Miracle”
That said, I had wayyy more fun with Diana: The Musical

It Takes Two 1995
I'm looking for that "can't-eat, can't-sleep, reach-for-the-stars, over- the-fence, World Series kind of stuff"
A 90’s baby classic.

The Night House 2020
Old Brock: But now you know that there was an actress named Rebecca Hall, and that she saved The Night House, in every way that a horror-drama with loftier thematic ambitions than its screenplay could support can be saved. I don’t even have a picture of her. She exists now only in my obsolete DVD copy of Christine.
