David Bowie is one of the most fascinating, hypnotizing, original, and quintessential artists to have ever walked the Earth.

The only way a documentary about him could work was if he presented it himself, and Brett Morgen understood that perfectly, only making sure that his metaphysical presence was felt using some of the most impressive editing I've seen all year. Truly an unforgettable cinematic experience, I could listen to Bowie's music and narration for days.

Right... I may be missing something, but I walked out feeling that I had watched one of the most boring and silly movies of the year. Sure, there's some exciting filmmaking in there but other than that, I was never captivated or intrigued by anything Cronenberg presents.

Walkout count: 1, and I'm pretty certain it was due to extreme boredom.

Will this movie grow on me? Only time will tell, but for now I was not impressed.
