Greg’s review published on Letterboxd:
I had to sit on this to fully absorb what I had seen. The more I considered the simple complexities before me, the more I became impressed with Burning as a whole.
In the first act, seemingly nothing happens. It could be said that the film kicks into gear in the back half, however I feel that at the direct center of it’s runtime Burning becomes a different film all together. In the scene which depicts the content of the short story which this is based from, we are provided the source material which gave us the aura that Burning powerfully engulfs.
Delicate cinematography, delightful interactions of the cast with incredible performances by the top 3 billed. This is simply put, awe inspiring wonder.
