Watched this in a different frame of mind, focusing more on the “light” and how it interacts with it’s followers. It’s truly remarkable how many elements can be studied in this film. I’m more in the belief that the cast are mere pawns in the settled fate that Gran has placed upon them. She has puppeteered her coven to exact stance for the moves they are to make to summon Paimon into his final form. They are the light in many cases, until Paimon has lost his host and is wandering to their will. He is then guided by their hand to complete the odyssey that the evil Gran has bestowed upon her own family.
