Mikael Stånggren’s review published on Letterboxd:
Will Ferrell has done his homework. Glitz, glamor and godforsaken garbage lyrics. Watching ESC with his Swedish wife, he took notes and found his inspiration for a send-up that has long begged to be made. Not familiar? Let me give you a crash course with Greece's contribution to the music realm in 2002 (or was it 1982?). You may also take confused delight in Count Dracula impaling our ears with some Transyl-- I mean, Romanian note twists. Extremely odd or extremely generic, there's no middle ground here. Well, except for the film itself, which - although hilariously nailing the parodic parts - is a majestic vision let down by a middling script.
