This was the last film my supervisor recommended me to watch and damn it was a good one. Every frame of this movie was a work of art, The Double Life of Véronique is honestly a masterclass in filmmaking. The opera scene might just be one of my new favourite scenes in cinema ever. It was just so haunting. That music that acted as a kind of theme throughout the whole film was also so fucking beautiful. I’d write more eloquent thoughts but I’ll save my more serious writing on this for my paper.
