Holy Motors

Holy Motors ★★★½

can’t believe how much more i got out of this and liked this on my second viewing, how it layers and merges questions of identity, art, authenticity, performance, technology and the body in every scene. particularly love how a chameleonic denis lavant uses each persona and narrative beat to harness the spectator’s emotions and scepticism, often simultaneously. a totally unique world, a deconstruction and joyful undertaking of cinema, theatre, dance, with the cameras seemingly dissolved
