Around the World in 80 Gays: Towards a Global Queer Cinema

More a work-in-progress personal chronicle than any effort at a representative sampling, here's the fruits of my travels to date through the world of queer cinema. I am under no illusions: there is yet a ways to go.

One pick per country (see notes); it'd be absurd to claim any as totemic. As much as exposure would allow, I've striven to provide a diversity of genre and gender, sexualities and sensibilities. This list is as much intended to expose gaps to be filled as favourites to be shared.

Any suggestions in getting this padded out to pun-qualifying length are most cordially invited.
