This is just… hard to watch. I couldn’t take it seriously. I usually enjoy seeing Jessica Chastain wipe the floor with her acting, but in this I felt like she was playing a character while held at gun point… it was forced and inauthentic and even strange. I mean, the Bakkers were absolute lunatics and I left the film a little frustrated at myself for wasting over 2 hours watching Jessica Chastain doing this caricature almost cartoon like portrayal of a woman that was not only a crook, but also a complete nutter.
