Of all the writer-directors granted the privilege of having total control over their own projects working in American cinema today, none are less talented or make worse movies than Jordan Peele. At first glance, this latest nonsense seems more offensive than either Get Out or Us, if you can imagine such a possibility, but how does one calculate degrees of rottenness? These dreadful films are a barometer of how film criticism has deteriorated to a cretinous level, and a measure of the extent a dumbbell audience will allow itself to be bludgeoned into idiocy by incoherent juvenile junk.
