Loved the political and realistic approach, and the fact that they didn’t go for an overly dramatic family or love story.
I can only imagine how relevant this film must have been for the Japanese audience.
Also seeing Shinya Tsukamoto in a Hideaki Anno film and hearing tracks from the Evangelion OST was nothing but fanservice.
