An important film obviously, but it is a hard one to sit down and watch. I made it all the way through, if only because the orchestra was so damn impressive. The importance of a film like this sort of trumps any enjoyment I got out of the matter. I'm sure it was a marvel to see when it was released, but entertainment wise, it hasn't stood the test of time quite as much. It's just over an hour of really gorgeous B-roll of a few Russian cities.
Though I'm sure if you downed a couple bottles of cough syrup this would be a damn trip.
