Bottom half of MCU for me which is disappointing because Homecoming is like my #3 or 4 MCU.
It definitely ends strong when MJ finds out about Spider-Man’s secret identity and Happy enters the movie. It becomes grounded more in relationships that I care about. The first half was this weird teen vacation movie that felt really forced. The stuff with Brad didn’t land for me neither did the Ned/Betty jokes. the Elemental/Misterio parts felt weirdly especially rushed. Once he reveals that he’s a baddie it got better for me. The retcon of everything preceding it might work on me on a rewatch although I never rewatch these MCU movies lol.
But yeah I really like the Peter / MJ thing. I’m glad they’re a couple. Good chemistry.
