Lake Mungo 2008
Ok, so this was definitely far from perfect. It was a bit too slow and a bit too reliant on zooming in on things scare you and the story took some strange turns. At the same time, however, I was genuinely unnerved and tense throughout because the atmosphere and everything was great. I really enjoyed the film's presentation, the acting was great, and the story had a somber tone that I thought was really effective despite what I mentioned earlier. Found footage-style horror is not something I tend to enjoy, but this is one of the good ones.
