    Mid-way through act 2, I didn't think that the film could get any better. Then there was a chase involving a train, my favorite kind of set piece. Then the final scene happened and I cried. God-tier film.

    I love John Woo's films, particularly Hard Boiled and The Killer, because of how effortlessly I feel he's able to marry melodrama and kinetic action together in such a seemless manner in those movies. That point extends to this as well.

    I first watched this at Tubasgiving about 3 years ago. I was in charge of bringing a movie and I had bought this on a whim but never watched it and it ended up being a hit. "He's a fucking bear, he doesn't know [blank]" became a section meme. Great times with great friends.
