    Thoughts during:
I think that people who use the term
“elevated horror” are annoying as shit but even I don’t think they are worth a stab.

-don’t like how my boy Dewey is the utmost pitiable within seconds.

-neve Campbell you are a Fox of a Final Girl.

-That actress does a really good job of being psychotic and getting lit on fire.

-cool they didn’t fuck up the franchise but honestly the new group of zoomers was fucked from the get-go

RIP Gaspard. You had a great cinematic face, what they call a “perfect for the movies” face. Great biopic, oozes with ecstasy and glamour as well as intensity and self destruction. You need the right leading man for that and Bonello got him one.

An oracular sci-fi epic. Deserves to be called that. Also, these characters can all capture different moods for the rest of the year. The shimmer being the mood of re-invention. Something like that. Thinking about this again, easily makes my top 5 of the year. Wonder, melancholy sets in at the right moments, with such profoundness it makes sense why it hasn't left my mind. Really thankful for this one.

Still stupendous. Virtue, really fast running and wild, ballsy action sequences from Tom Cruise is the perfect formula for pure entertainment. But this ride of superhuman megawatt energy is set apart from the rest of course based on the fact that it's also profound with Ethan Hunt's world. If you're in, you're in for one hell of a mission.
Also, focusing on Sean Bean's performance more so I noticed that the fact he doesn't have a changed reaction DESPITE being shot by Ilsa(ok maybe a little) and being driven around furiously by Tom Cruise (an excellent driver) is so fucking awesome.
