    Bottom 250: Finding Jesus (2020)

Finding Jesus is an extremely bizarre and accidentally avant-garde piece of animation that follows the episodic adventures of Muggles and Joy two fish who learn lessons about life and Jesus. Wow much misogyny, such commentary. Film bros must worship.

It's almost like exploring misogyny, toxic masculinity, domestic abuse, and sexual assault doesn't work tonally with your mid life crisis buddy improv self described "comedy." Usually in movies where you're "not supposed to like the protagonists" there's satirical themes or something deeper going on but that doesn't really work for cinema veritae improv film. Instead it just makes it seem like you find sexism, abuse, and assault quirky or endearing topics. Fucking yikes. At least the cinematography is decent.
