Writer/Producer/Once and Future Actor.
I do not worship at the altar of Christopher Nolan. Take a look at my Letterboxd ratings of much of the rest of his filmography, if you don't believe me...
... this is a masterpiece. The Nolan "thing" he does has never been better utilized than in this movie, unquestionably his best. And unquestionably one of the best films of the year.
Pre ‘Dead Reckoning’ M:I rewatch #5
Y’all. This is clearly the best one. The tone is perfect. The action sensational. The humor is deftly balanced with the darker spy thriller elements and real stakes. Cruise is perfection, his IMF team (finally) perfectly calibrated. Solomon Lane a top-tier villain. The opera sequence! The underwater heist! The motorcycle chase! The face off at the restaurant!
ILSA FAUST. The best character in the franchise. This is the movie that has the most Ilsa Faust. Therefore it is the best one.
