Criterion Challenge 2021 - 6/52
Despite some dated elements (we all know a film almost 90 years old will have some questionable morals at points), this was some classic, entertaining funny-monkey action that I had a ton of fun with. While the original Godzilla of the 1950s explores the fear of the WWII atomic bombings, King Kong explores a theme of man vs. nature, and the consequences that come with disrupting it. Both are seminal pieces in the monster genre.
