Day 7 of NICVEMBER
David Lynch does a dark Wizard of Oz through his own unique, atmospheric style, featuring Nic Cage channeling Elvis. Its dreamy, its romantic, intoxicating, its just the right type of weird, its surprisingly a more conventional Lynch film, but is dripping in his inimitable vision.
Cage and Dern share a brilliant, fiery chemistry together, and Cage seems so perfectly suited to Lynch's more theatrical style of filmmaking, that I'm a little surprised they didnt do more work together, hes actually really great in this.
Cage Level: Spicy.
