Any piece of media: [features a young girl with supernatural powers being persecuted by the world and then getting revenge by going absolutely fucking nuts and blowing everything up]

    31 Days of Horror, 2022: movie #10

This movie made me go absolutely fucking feral. This movie FUCKS. I can't believe this, it's fucking insane. Everything in it is just so maddeningly beautiful and indulgent.

Coppola looked back at every version of the Dracula tale on film at that point and said... "Why don't I just do all of that at once?"

AND IT RIPS SO HARD. I WANT TO FUCK THESE VAMPIRES!!!

But it is an enjoyable enough time. It's cute, has some good jokes, and the chemistry between Hathaway and Pine is actually quite strong.
The perfect movie to put on in the background at a kid's birthday party.

Ok. So I have a lot of big feelings surrounding the Ringu movies.

It's hard even to decide where to start in talking about this entry in the series. The most succinct summary of my feelings toward it is this:

While a couple creative choices in this movie bog it down for me, as a whole I feel it's actually a very intriguing addition to the philosophical tapestry of the Ringu series.

It might sound silly or obvious to say,…
