Too many themes and not all of them compatible. Felt like watching a foreign film without subtitles in part due to pretentious writing and in part due to mumbling. The almost incomprehensible storyline didn’t help. 

I wish Christopher Nolan could understand the complexity of women and not attempt to fit them neatly into archetypes, whilst seemingly wanting a pat on the back for making them ‘boss ladies’. 

As always though, he really knows how to shoot water and as a seaside town bitch, I fell for it.
